The Fragrance Kitchen
The Fragrance Kitchen, generally written as TFK, was founded in Kuwait City in 2012 by Sheikh Majed Al-Sabah, a member of the Kuwaiti royal family already known in the Gulf for the multi-brand luxury retailer Villa Moda. The brand grew out of the bespoke blends he had been mixing for friends and family in his home majlis. The compositions sit at the meeting point of Middle Eastern and French perfumery: oud, taif rose, agarwood and saffron treated through Western alcoholic eau de parfum construction rather than the traditional concentrated attar. The catalogue is divided into the Private Collection, the Boutique Series and a small set of ouds bottled in heavy decanter-style flacons. The house was acquired by Kuwait's Development Holding Company and now distributes through Avery Perfume Gallery, helloScents and a small set of luxury department stores in Europe and the Gulf.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
