The Man Company
India's premium men's grooming brand.
The Man Company is an Indian men's grooming brand founded in 2015 by Bhisham Bhateja, Hitesh Dhingra, Rohit Chawla and Parvesh Bareja, built around the observation that mainstream Indian retail had very few mid-priced grooming products designed for men. The catalogue spans face wash, shaving and beard care, hair care and body wash alongside a steadily expanding fragrance and body-spray range. The perfume side leans on familiar masculine fougere, woody-aromatic and citrus-aromatic structures, marketed in clean black-and-gold packaging that signals premium without crossing into luxury pricing. The Kolkata-based FMCG group Emami took a 45 percent stake in 2019 and completed full acquisition in August 2024, giving the brand access to national distribution and shelf space at scale. It is best understood as a defining direct-to-consumer-era Indian grooming label, broadening the country's accessible men's fragrance shelf rather than competing in the niche or designer tiers.
