The Spirit of Azerbaijan was established in 2015 by Bagir Hasanzade with the ambition of translating the cultural, botanical, and geographic identity of Azerbaijan into fine fragrance. The house draws its references from the ancient Silk Road trade routes that passed through the Caucasus, the saffron fields of the Absheron Peninsula, pomegranate orchards, and the deep mineral aura of the Caspian coastline. Compositions balance traditional Azerbaijani aromatic sensibility — rose, pomegranate, saffron, resins — with contemporary niche construction and French perfumery technique.
