Thomas Kosmala
A French-trained perfumer's independent extrait line.
Thomas Kosmala is a niche fragrance house founded in 2014 by its eponymous perfumer, a Polish-born nose trained in Paris who established his workshop in the south of France and registered the brand in London. The label began with a pair of oud-centred fragrances aimed at a Middle Eastern collector audience and has since shifted toward a more classically French Collection de Parfums of nine extraits-de-parfum, each working a familiar raw material such as iris, vetiver or amber into a contemporary, fairly opulent reading. Kosmala composes the line himself, which is unusual at this scale, and the house has gathered a steady following on social platforms for compositions that prize warmth, density and projection. Pricing sits comfortably in the upper niche range, alongside Initio and Mancera, and the work suits wearers who want signature-scent presence without crossing into the rarefied territory of Roja or Amouage.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
