Tola
Gulf attar culture at a niche register.
Tola was founded in 2013 by Dhaher Bin Dhaher in the United Arab Emirates as a perfumery dedicated to bridging Emirati attar heritage and contemporary international niche culture. The name itself references the traditional unit of measurement used for attar in the Gulf, honoring the precision and value associated with artisanal perfumery. The house uses premium raw materials — Cambodian and Indian oud, Taif rose, Omani frankincense — presented in formats that speak both to the Gulf customer familiar with attar ritual and to Western niche collectors seeking genuinely regional voices. Key releases including Myrrh Fantasy and Oud Mineral have attracted attention on fragrance communities for their material quality and structural sophistication. Tola's positioning within the niche tier is deliberate; the house avoids mass accessible pricing to maintain quality standards and material provenance. Distribution spans the UAE, select Middle Eastern boutiques, and international niche fragrance retail.
