TSVGA
TSVGA Parfums is an ultra-niche American house founded in 2020 in Easthampton, Massachusetts by James Barry — painter, writer, musician, psychotherapist, and longtime fragrance collector known online as Mr. Niche Guy. After years of reviewing perfumes on YouTube and exploring what the category could become, Barry turned creative: composing fragrances himself using high-quality natural raw materials and finishing each bottle by hand, making true mass production impossible by design. The brand's stated goal is to create unique fragrance art that cannot be reproduced at scale, with transparency about the manufacturing process and ingredients as a core principle. Compositions such as A Man and His Pipe, Pop, Myrrhder, Juxtaposition, and Shirley reflect the wide-ranging curiosity of someone who approached perfumery from the outside without commercial constraints. The brand ceased operations in August 2024, leaving behind a small body of work that exemplifies the ethos of American ultra-niche perfumery in its purest, most personal form.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
