Tuerkan
Numbered fragrances ordered by Pythagorean philosophy.
Tuerkan, established in Turkey in 2021, presents one of niche perfumery's more unusual conceptual frameworks: a numbered fragrance line ordered according to Pythagorean mathematical and philosophical principles. Each composition corresponds to a specific number bearing distinct philosophical significance within the Pythagorean tradition, with the scent designed to evoke the qualities attributed to that number. The house collaborates with accomplished European perfumers including Olaf Larsen, Elodie Bernard, Julia Rodriguez Pastor, and Angéline Leporini to ensure that the intellectual concept finds rigorous olfactory realization rather than merely decorative expression. Tuerkan is a product of Turkey's emerging niche fragrance ambition — a country with deep aromatic traditions, access to Eastern Mediterranean raw materials, and increasing investment in independent creative production. The house's distinctly philosophical positioning distinguishes it from both conventional Turkish fragrance production and the broader Middle Eastern niche market, carving a genuinely individual conceptual space.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
