Usher
Celebrity fragrance from R&B artist Usher Raymond.
Usher launched his fragrance line in 2007 in partnership with Liz Claiborne — later Parlux Fragrances — developing accessible celebrity fragrances rooted in the artist's own R&B aesthetic and personal style. Working with perfumers Richard Herpin and Honorine Blanc, the house produced He and She as debut masculine and feminine counterparts, followed by UR, Usher for Men, and subsequent releases that built a coherent celebrity fragrance portfolio. Compositions favour warmth and sensuality: amber, musk, and soft woods in the masculines; soft florals and peach-musk in the feminines. Unlike many celebrity fragrance lines that outsource all creative direction, Usher has reportedly maintained close involvement in selecting compositions that reflect his personal preferences. The line sits firmly in accessible celebrity fragrance — widely distributed through department stores and online retail rather than specialty perfumery.
