Venezia 1920
Olfactory tales from Venice's golden decade.
Venezia 1920 is an Italian niche perfume house founded in 2018 by Gianluca Zin and Michele Cardillo, drawing on the visual and cultural opulence of Venice during the 1920s — the decade when the city's modernist and Orientalist influences crystallized into a distinctive aesthetic that shaped European art, fashion, and design. The house collaborates with accomplished Italian perfumers including Roberto Dario, Michele Marin, and Luca Gritti to produce fragrances that evoke specific Venetian experiences: the lagoon at dusk, carnival masks, aged palazzo interiors, water and stone. The compositions tend toward layered, material-rich structures — often woody, resinous, and floral — presented in bottles designed to echo the city's decorative arts heritage. Venezia 1920 distributes through European and international niche boutiques.
