Vera Wang
Bridal-couture femininity in fragrance form.
Vera Wang's fragrance line launched in 2002 in partnership with Coty, opening with the eponymous Vera Wang signature scent — a luminous floral built around white florals and iris that took its cue from the bridal couture for which the New York designer was already known. A men's counterpart followed in 2004, and the youthful Princess pillar arrived in 2006 and became the line's commercial workhorse. Subsequent flankers — Lovestruck, Embrace, Glam Princess, Be Jeweled — have kept the catalogue firmly in the accessible department-store tier, with sweet fruity-floral and floral-gourmand compositions aimed at a wedding-and-prom-adjacent audience. A 2025 Vera Wang LOVE launch under WHP Global signals a tentative reposition upmarket, but the bulk of the line remains the bright, romantic, easily worn signature that has defined it for over two decades.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
