Victoria'S Secret
The world's leading specialty retailer of lingerie and beauty
Victoria's Secret launched its fragrance program in the late 1980s, leveraging its position as America's preeminent intimates brand to build one of the country's highest-volume fragrance businesses. The approach has consistently favored glamorous, accessible femininity: warm amber-musk foundations, sweet-fruity accords, and florals pitched toward confidence rather than restraint. Bombshell, introduced in 2010, became the best-selling fragrance in the United States for multiple consecutive years. The catalog is vast, with hundreds of SKUs including body mists, EDTs, and EDPs organized into long-running franchises like Very Sexy, Dream Angels, and Tease. Perfumers such as Jean-Claude Delville, Rodrigo Flores-Roux, and Clément Gavarry have shaped the line. L Brands completed a spin-off of Victoria's Secret as an independent public company in 2021. The fragrance line remains among the most widely distributed in American specialty retail.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
