Welton London
Refill. Reuse. Enjoy.
Welton London is a luxury fragrance house founded in 2001 by John-Paul Welton, a former diplomat who redirected his career toward interior design and home fragrance after extensive travel through the Middle East. The house launched its first fine fragrance collection in 2012, formally transitioning from home scents to personal perfumery. Welton works with perfumers in Grasse and produces all fragrances in France, emphasizing French technical expertise within a British design sensibility. The house is particularly associated with oud — a reflection of Welton's years in the Gulf region — alongside amber, myrrh, and warm resinous bases. Compositions are refined rather than showy, with a restraint that suits the house's diplomatic and interior design roots. The refillable, eco-designed bottle program, with its minimal cubic forms, is a more recent development aligned with the house's sustainability commitments. Welton London distributes through specialist niche retailers in Europe and the Middle East, and operates between London, Paris, and Grasse. Perfumer Vincent Ricord is among those contributing to the catalog.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
