Yardley
Yardley traces its origins to 1770 in London, making it one of the oldest continuously operating fragrance and beauty companies in the world. The house built its reputation on English florals — lavender, lily of the valley, and rose — sourced from British gardens and rendered into soaps, colognes, and toilet waters that became staples of Victorian and Edwardian households. Yardley's lavender products in particular became synonymous with a restrained, very English notion of personal scent. Today the brand belongs to Wipro Consumer Care and maintains wide distribution across South Asia, Africa, and the UK. Its fragrances sit squarely in the accessible tier — clean, uncomplicated compositions marketed to everyday wear. The classic English Lavender line endures largely unchanged, a rare case of a 250-year-old formula still in production. Newer releases follow mainstream market trends without straying from the brand's heritage of fresh, approachable florals.
