Zadig & Voltaire
Parisian rock-and-roll, in eau de parfum form.
Zadig & Voltaire was founded in Paris in 1997 by Thierry Gillier — a great-grandson of Lacoste co-founder André Gillier — as a ready-to-wear label built around a slouchy, rock-tinged Parisian aesthetic. The fragrance arm opened in 2009 with Tome 1: La Pureté and has since become one of the brand's most visible commercial pillars. The perfume line keeps the same wardrobe register: cashmere woods, hot leather, white musks and ambery florals that read as everyday rather than occasion-only. Pillars such as This is Her!, This is Him!, Just Rock! and the more recent Zadig eau de parfum sit in the lower-prestige tier and are distributed through Sephora-style chains and the brand's own boutiques. Since 2018 the fragrance licence has been held by Shiseido Group, which now manages the line's global rollout.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
