By the editors · 2 min readNight by Akro is a three-ingredient argument: Bulgarian rose, cumin and saffron, oud. Olivier Cresp built this as part of Akro's debut collection of single-concept fragrances, and the concept here is heat — the animalic warmth of cumin against rose, the medicinal-resinous depth of oud, and saffron threading between both. The Bulgarian rose has real presence without being romantic; it sits alongside the cumin in a relationship that reads as body-warm rather than floral.
The oud is the destination — dark, slightly smoky, and genuinely present rather than tokenistic. Musk in the base keeps the composition close to skin in the final hours, making Night something that reveals rather than projects. For someone who wants the oud-rose register without the architectural complexity of a full Middle Eastern pyramid.
