The heart is an incense-floral meditation: frankincense and olibanum burning clean and sacred, labdanum and benzoin adding sweet-resinous depth, ylang-ylang and violet providing creaminess and powder, patchouli earthing the whole. The base is a richly annotated study in animalic complexity: civet, castoreum, ambergris, and leather alongside sandalwood and cedar, vanilla and caramel adding warmth. One of Amouage's deepest and most fully realized compositions.
