By the editors · 2 min readEnclave opens with an unexpected jolt of peppermint alongside cinnamon and cardamom — the cool menthol sharpens the spice rather than softening it, producing an opening that's vivid and slightly disorienting. Pink pepper adds bite. It's Amouage arriving with intent.
The heart is where the composition deepens: frankincense and olibanum together build a dense resinous column, with vetiver's smoky earth and patchouli's dark sweetness supporting rose from underneath. The rose reads rich rather than fresh — more attar than garden. Leather and labdanum in the base seal the composition into something dense, long-wearing, and unambiguously Amouage in character. Opulent, layered, built for cold weather or air-conditioned interiors. Not for the faint of scent.
