By the editors · 2 min readFlight of Fancy opens with a spirited citrus trio—yuzu's bright bitterness, lemon's sharp clarity, and lychee's translucent sweetness—that feels almost effervescent against the skin. The initial impression is weightless and optimistic, like sunlight through sheer fabric.

As it settles, magnolia and freesia emerge with a watery, green-tinged floralcy that never turns heavy or soapy. Rose adds gentle structure without dominating, while the base of amber and musk creates a soft-focus finish rather than anything particularly warm or resinous. Benzoin lends a subtle, almost vanilla-like sweetness that keeps the composition from floating away entirely.

This is Anna Sui in her more restrained mode—youthful without being juvenile, feminine without excess. Flight of Fancy suits someone who wants fragrance that feels present but undemanding, appropriate for daylight hours and casual environments where a louder statement would feel out of place.
