By the editors · 2 min readWithout top notes, this opens mid-construction — jasmine and vanilla arriving together, already warm, with cedar stiffening the edges. There is no bright citrus lift or sharp spice, just a smooth, slightly green floral immediately softened by vanilla. The opening is composed but unhurried.
As tobacco and leather settle into the base, the sweetness of the vanilla is checked by a dry, slightly animalic quality. Sandalwood smooths the transition, keeping the tobacco from reading harsh. The result is a warm, rounded oriental: leather and tobacco wrapped in vanilla, with just enough jasmine to keep it from feeling purely resinous. Best in cool, dry air.
