Weighted by intensity across 6 accords.

Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readr.e.m. opens with an unexpected tension—caramelized fig that reads almost savory at first, like burnt sugar meeting green wood. The sweetness is there, but it arrives slanted, not quite straightforward. As the lavender emerges, it brings a soapy-clean quality that some celebrity fragrances avoid but this one leans into, creating an oddly intimate effect, like skin just after a shower.

The drydown settles into soft musk and tonka, pillowy and warm without tipping into cloying territory. Sandalwood adds just enough structure to keep it from dissolving completely into abstraction. The whole composition hovers in a dreamy, slightly hazy space—appropriately named for REM sleep, perhaps, though it's more lucid than disorienting.

This works best as a comfort scent, something for evenings at home or quiet days when you want to smell like a gentler version of yourself. Not a statement fragrance, but a surprisingly thoughtful one.
