By the editors · 2 min readBergamot provides a bright citrus opening that quickly intertwines with the rich, roasted aroma of coffee, creating an aromatic and slightly bitter top accord. Bulgarian rose, ylang-ylang, and orange blossom form a lush, sweet floral heart that contrasts with the dark coffee note. The base is a complex chypre structure of oakmoss, labdanum, and birch, supported by animalic civet and castoreum alongside sweet tonka and honey. Guaiac wood and Virginia cedar add a smoky, woody depth that grounds the floral and resinous elements. Development is rich and evolving, moving from citrus-coffee to floral-resinous and finally a mossy, animalic dry-down. Sillage is moderate and longevity is excellent, making it suitable for formal evenings in cool weather.
