Aromas de Salazar
Pushing boundaries with uncompromising quality
Aromas de Salazar is a small American fragrance house founded in 2021 by self-taught perfumer Michael Salazar in San Diego, California. The Spanish name nods to family heritage rather than to a Spanish or Mexican origin; the bottles are filled, labeled and shipped from Salazar's own workshop. The house works in deliberately small batches, with a stated emphasis on quality ingredients and slower, more sustainable methods than industrial perfumery allows. Its catalogue has grown quickly past sixty references, ranging across vanillas, gourmands, woody-spicy compositions and conceptual single-note studies aimed at collectors who like to follow an indie nose's evolution release by release. Distribution remains direct-to-consumer through the brand's site and a handful of indie-fragrance retailers, with sample-led discovery as the entry point for most customers.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
