By the editors · 2 min readPerceive for Men opens with a generous citrus fanfare — grapefruit and mandarin, sharpened by geranium and given an herbal edge by lavender and artemisia. The top is lively without being sharp. The heart contracts to clary sage and cedar, a classic aromatic combination that smells clean and slightly cool in the way of early-2000s men's fragrances.
The base — cedarwood, patchouli, and amber — provides a dry, resinous warmth that gives the fragrance its modest staying power. It fits the aromatic chypre tradition: citrus-herbal opening with an earthy, woody dry-down. Wears well in mild weather and suits situations where something office-appropriate but not anonymous is the goal.
