By the editors · 2 min readAn intensified take on the original Chrome's marine-aromatic blueprint. The opening adds ginger and grapefruit to the bergamot signature, and hedione runs underneath the citrus to give the freshness a rounder, slightly luminous shape. The first hour reads as a sharper, more confident version of the 1996 cologne.
The heart is where Intense earns its name: ozonic notes carry the marine reference, but lichen and water-jasmine pull the composition off the beach and into something more abstract — cool, mineral, faintly green. The base brings mate (a smoky-tea note), a generic woody accord, and amber-musk to round things out. It still wears like Chrome, just with more weight and shadow. A spring-to-fall transitional fragrance that holds projection longer than its predecessor.
