By the editors · 2 min readA bright, slightly herbaceous opener built on lemon and ginger, with mint and lavender giving the citrus a cooling lift rather than a soapy one. The first ten minutes read as fresh-masculine, but the apple and cardamom in the heart pull the structure away from generic blue-bottle territory — the apple stays crisp, the cardamom keeps the spice modest.
What the fragrance does well is its drydown. Tonka bean lays down a sweet, almost-buttered base, amberwood adds a synthetic warmth, and Haitian vetiver cuts through the sweetness so it never tips into gourmand. It projects moderately for the first three hours and then settles into a skin-warm tonka-vetiver. Versatile in the way these mid-2010s fougères tend to be — equally at home in office hours and evening drinks.
