By the editors · 2 min readBergamot opens with a brief, polished citrus that quickly gives way to the heart. Leather takes the centre with a supple, slightly smoky character that defines the rest of the composition's identity from the first half hour.
The base of sandalwood and Virginia cedar gives the leather a dry woody floor, the sandalwood adding a milky softness while the cedar keeps the texture sharp at the edges. There are no florals or spices to soften the leather core, so the impression stays single-minded. Overall the character is a streamlined leathery woody, masculine and slightly austere, with moderate projection and a steady drydown that holds the leather identity intact through most of the wear.
