By the editors · 2 min readYlang-ylang opens with a creamy, banana-sweet lift that the lemon keeps bright rather than syrupy. Within minutes the heart folds in powdery iris and orris, their carrot-like starch softening the tropical flower while cedar adds dry wood grain. The base trades brightness for dusk: patchouli brings a dark chocolate earthiness that the leather tans into a muted suede, letting the iris linger as a cool violet haze. Wear-time shows slow descent: the ylang recedes, cedar sharpens, and the leather–patchouli accord warms to skin-close musk. Projection stays polite, extending an arm’s length for six hours; office-safe yet quietly sensual for cool autumn evenings.
