By the editors · 2 min readGrapefruit and bergamot open with a tart, slightly bitter citrus burst that quickly cedes ground to the spices waiting beneath. The opening is brief and works mostly as a bridge.
Saffron, styrax, and nutmeg build the heart into a leathery-resinous middle, the saffron lending its medicinal-honeyed warmth and the styrax adding a smoky balsamic depth. The transition shifts the composition fully from fresh to dark within minutes.
Sandalwood, leather, and patchouli close the arc with a smoky woody-leather dry-down. The leather is the dominant signal, framed by the cocoa-camphor of patchouli and the creaminess of sandalwood. The arc settles into a long, dark, leather-and-resin close that projects strongly through the first hours.
