By the editors · 2 min readGrassland opens with bergamot and a breath of mint cutting through a green apple accord, the combination reading crisp and slightly tart before petitgrain and lavender settle in to soften the edges. The opening feels deliberately outdoors-oriented — clean air rather than floral arrangement.
Moss and sandalwood emerge in the base, giving the green opening a rooted, earthy quality. Patchouli adds depth without turning dark, and ambergris provides a subtle marine warmth rather than an oceanic splash. Vanilla keeps the whole from drying out too much.
The result is a balanced aromatic green with a mossy, woody foundation. It works well in warm to temperate weather, particularly outdoors, and reads unisex with a slight lean toward the fresh masculine tradition.
