By the editors · 2 min readPulse opens with bergamot — clean, citrus, a standard fresh preamble. Jasmine and peony in the heart are expected and delivered as expected: polished, light florals without indolics, constructed for broad appeal. The peony adds a watery, slightly fresh quality to the jasmine's more traditional warmth.

Vanilla and musk in the base provide the sweet skin-close drydown that defines the celebrity fragrance category. The whole composition is linear and predictable, which is not a criticism — it's a deliberate design decision. Pulse is uncomplicated by intention, comfortable from application to drydown.

A fragrance that does exactly what its context requires: accessible, clean, pleasant, and identifiable with a specific aesthetic of early-2010s feminine beauty.
