By the editors · 2 min readThe opening lands with cumin's sweat-warm hum already audible under saffron and pink pepper. Ambrette adds a powdered, slightly fatty muskiness that signals where the composition is heading.
The heart pivots to twin roses — Bulgarian and Damask — laid over magnolia. The florals read jammy and dense rather than fresh, the cumin pulling them into something close to dried-rose-petal-meets-skin. There is no fruit lift here.
Base notes do most of the work: cypriol smolders dry and inky, sandalwood and patchouli ground it, moss extends the earthy register, and amber-vanilla-musk close everything down. The overall character is dense, spicy-rosy, animalic on skin. Strong projection in the first three hours, then quiet warmth for many more.
