Benzoin sweetens the resin core, lending a vanillic-balsamic warmth that bridges into the cedar base. Atlas and Virginia cedars together produce a dry, pencil-shavings woodiness — sharper than sandalwood, with a slightly sour edge that keeps the composition from going plush. The drydown holds the cedar-incense accord steady for hours, with the benzoin's sweetness softening the woody austerity. Cool and meditative, more contemplative than seductive.
