By the editors · 2 min readInflorescence is Byredo's white-floral entry — built from the same spare materials the house characteristically deploys in larger arrangements. Rose arrives first, but it's a pale, almost photographic rose rather than a full-throated one: clean rather than lush. Magnolia and lily of the valley in the heart are both fresh and slightly watery in the way of their flowers, contributing brightness without depth. Jasmine in the base offers the composition's only hint of richness, anchoring what is otherwise an intentionally luminous construction. Freesia threads through the general impression, extending the freshness. Austere in a considered sense — a fragrance that understands what it is and declines to become more.
