By the editors · 2 min readOpen Sky, a Byredo limited edition, places cannabis at the center as its sole heart note — not as provocation but as material statement. Hemp leaves have a distinctive green, earthy, slightly bitter quality that is genuinely pleasant apart from any association. Pomelo and black pepper open with bitter citrus brightness and spice, preparing the nose for the heart's more assertive green character. Vetiver in the base shares that green-earthy axis, extending the hemp's naturalistic quality rather than contrasting it; palo santo's sweet, smoky-resinous character provides a counterpoint, pulling the dry-down toward something warmer and more aromatic. An outdoor fragrance in the literal sense — what it smells like to be far from everything.
