By the editors · 2 min readThe parfum concentration of Bleu de Chanel trades the EDT's citrus brightness for a denser, sweeter opening where mint cuts through bergamot with menthol precision. Within minutes, pineapple emerges—not tropical juice, but something caramelized and resinous, tempered by lavender that reads more herbal than soapy.
The base is where this version diverges most dramatically. Tonka bean dominates the drydown with an almost gourmand warmth, supported by sandalwood and cedar that provide structure without fighting for attention. Iso E Super lends its characteristic woody halo, creating the impression of projecting further than it actually does. Amberwood adds amber-like sweetness without traditional amber's heaviness.
This is Bleu at its most enveloping: less fresh office scent, more evening wear with deliberate sweetness. It sits closer to the skin than the EDT but lingers considerably longer, appealing to those who found the original too sharp or fleeting. The overall effect is polished and wearable, albeit sweeter than the name might suggest.
