It doesn't linger long before amber and rose take the center: a pairing that softens without sweetening, giving the fragrance a rosy, resinous character that reads as warm rather than feminine.
The leather base is the destination. Papyrus adds a papery, slightly smoky dryness to the leather that distinguishes it from the cloying sweet leather common in budget offerings. The overall impression is a compact oriental leather — efficient in structure, limited in evolution, but honest about what it is.
