By the editors · 2 min readIvy opens unexpectedly green and slightly sappy, with a cool herbal bitterness that contrasts the floral and gourmand directions to come. The opening is short but distinctive.
The heart unfurls into a wide white-and-yellow floral bouquet. Jasmine, ylang-ylang and peony layer together in a creamy, slightly indolic chord, with peony's pink crispness keeping the bouquet luminous. The transition from green top to lush floral middle is one of the perfume's pleasures.
The base shifts toward sweet warmth. Tonka bean lays down hay-vanilla softness, amber adds plush balsamic depth, vanilla amplifies the sweetness, and musk closes the structure. Overall the character is a classical lush floral-amber with moderate projection and a long warm sweet drydown.
