By the editors · 2 min readOud opens dense and resinous, its tarry thickness sliced by saffron’s leather tint and the dry heat of clove and cardamom. The heart folds in sandalwood’s creamy grain, letting rose’s jammy facets ride the oud rather than soften it, while patchouli adds a bitter-chocolate earth that keeps the accord dark. As the spices recede, white musk lifts the smoke, ambergris lends a salty skin-like glow, and the remaining wood lingers as a matte, almost suede-textured veil. Projection stays within arm’s length for eight hours, projecting best in cool evenings when its smoldered leather character feels deliberate rather than heavy.
