By the editors · 2 min readPatchouli arrives first, dry and earthy, riding on creamy sandalwood that smooths its rough edges. The pairing keeps the heart austere rather than head-shop sweet, letting the wood’s lactonic warmth cushion the medicinal bite. As the accord settles, labdanum streams in, adding a leathery, incense-tinged amber that darkens the texture without adding sugar. Vanilla and tonka bloom late, but they stay tucked low, supplying a soft, hay-like cushion that lengthens wear rather than turning the fragrance gourmand. On skin the progression is linear: earthy wood → resinous amber → faint vanillic trail, each stage quieter than the last. Projection stays moderate for roughly six hours, casting a warm, slightly dusty aura that reads smart-casual and autumn-ready.
