By the editors · 2 min readBulgarian rose opens clean and slightly sweet, steering the fragrance into a bright floral register rather than the classic masculine fougère lane. Petitgrain arrives early, injecting a bitter-green edge that keeps the rose from turning soapy; raspberry and peach swell underneath, lending a transparent berry-jam thickness that softens the citrusy sharpness of the petitgrain. The fruit layer never turns candy-like because ambergris adds a cool, briny lift while vanilla warms the edges, creating a sheer, skin-hugging glaze. Musk dominates the far dry-down, folding whatever remains of rose and amber into a neutral, freshly-laundered cotton scent that projects no more than a forearm’s distance. Office-safe and quiet enough for humid days, it behaves like a lightly sweetened floral skin-wash with a six-hour lifespan.
