L'Acquarossa Elixir

The Elixir concentrates and darkens the Acquarossa line's hallmark lantana note — a flower with a slightly bitter, green edge that in this formulation is counterbalanced by tuberose's creamy indolence and a sour cherry opening that's juicy and tart rather than confected.

By the editors · 2 min readThe Elixir concentrates and darkens the Acquarossa line's hallmark lantana note — a flower with a slightly bitter, green edge that in this formulation is counterbalanced by tuberose's creamy indolence and a sour cherry opening that's juicy and tart rather than confected. The tension between lantana's herbal bitterness and the softening pull of tuberose and vanilla gives the fragrance its character; without the lantana it would be an anonymous fruity-floral.

The vanilla base keeps the drydown conventional after an unusual opening act. A niche-facing elixir with one genuinely distinctive ingredient that earns its concentration.
