By the editors · 2 min readScusami opens with citrus — bergamot and grapefruit — alongside heliotrope, creating a powdery-fresh effect rather than a sharp zest. Patchouli and sandalwood are already detectable from the start, giving the composition more density than a typical citrus opening.
The floral heart of ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, freesia, and rose reads as diffuse and luminous rather than bold, wrapped in an ambient aldehydic softness from heliotrope. Ambrette and musk in the base push it toward a skin-close warmth in the dry-down. The finished accord is a soft, slightly powdery floral anchored by woody-earthy depth — transparent in texture but layered in construction.
