By the editors · 2 min readThe name is also the brief: a leather-and-oud composition with little camouflage. Bergamot at the top reads almost vestigial; the leather note arrives within a minute and the oud immediately behind it, before the citrus has fully cleared.
What follows is essentially a single, sustained chord — leather, oud, patchouli and amber held together by vetiver — that doesn't so much develop as deepen. The leather is dry and slightly tarry rather than suede-soft; the oud is the clean, Western, distillate-style version, not the barnyard kind. Projection is heavy in the first hour and pulls close after that. It is a winter-evening fragrance whose appeal depends on liking the genre's vocabulary up front.
