Heliotrope adds a powdery almond-vanilla quality that meets caramel and coffee in the centre, building a chewy, slightly bitter dessert effect. The coffee reads roasted rather than fresh-bean, while the caramel keeps things from going strictly bitter.
The base of vanilla, cedar, and musk anchors the composition with a creamy-woody warmth that keeps the gourmand elements from becoming cloying. There is an almond-marzipan thread that runs from heart to base. The overall character is cosy and edible, suited to cool weather and evenings, with comfortable longevity and a sweet, room-warming projection that stays present without overwhelming.
