Sage joins iris in the heart, dropping the composition into a powdery-aromatic register. The iris reads cool and slightly carroty, the sage keeps a green-herbal lift, and the overall middle is dry, dusty and gently old-fashioned in a deliberate way.
Leather, amber and vanilla form the base. The leather is suede-soft rather than birch-tar harsh, the amber rounds it, and vanilla provides just enough sweetness to keep the drydown wearable. Overall this is a powdery-leather iris-amber — composed and quiet, with a clear vintage-French sensibility.
