By the editors · 2 min readThe Édition Couture is the 2018 L'Interdit EDP in a limited lace-patterned bottle — the composition is the same. Pear and bergamot open cleanly, the pear sweet-watery and bergamot providing lift without sharpness. Tuberose dominates the heart — white, slightly narcotic — counterweighted by Tunisian orange blossom and jasmine that together prevent the tuberose from reading as a soliflore. The base is modern: ambroxan contributes that airy-woody-musk quality while vanilla and patchouli build warmth and vetiver grounds the sweetness.
A polished contemporary white floral that leans toward clean rather than animalic. The projection is confident without being aggressive, and the drydown holds the floral-amber balance well into the late hours.
