By the editors · 2 min readAqua Incanta opens with iris and violet sitting close to rose, the three notes overlapping rather than taking turns. There is a soft powdery quality from the start, the kind that comes when iris root meets a floral heart rather than from any heavy dusting of aldehydes.
As the rose deepens, vanilla and tonka bean arrive beneath it, warm and slightly sweet but never cloying. Benzoin adds a faint resinous edge that keeps the sweetness from going purely gourmand.
The dry-down settles on white musk and ambrette, giving the whole composition a skin-like, intimate quality. The overall feel is a soft floral with powdery amber warmth underneath — unhurried and close-wearing.
