Gritti
Italian luxury fragrances from Venice.
Gritti Fragrances is a Venetian niche house that draws its name and identity from the Gritti family, whose history in the lagoon city stretches back several centuries and includes the sixteenth-century Doge Andrea Gritti. The contemporary perfume project was started in 2009 by Luca Gritti, who runs the company as a fully self-produced, family-held operation. The house works in two registers: the main Gritti Venetia line, which leans toward bold, ornamented compositions built on oud, rose, ambers and resins; and Gritti White Collection, a softer counterpart of skin scents, citruses and clean musks. References to Venice's trading past — spices, woods, leathers carried along the Silk Road — recur throughout the catalog. Production stays in Italy, distribution runs through niche perfumeries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and the visual identity leans heavily on Venetian motifs.

Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
