By the editors · 2 min readGucci Rush 2 opens with a cool, dewy floral wash—freesia and lily of the valley that feel translucent rather than sweet, like cut stems in clean water. There's a pale rose presence, more texture than fragrance, that keeps the first spray crisp and somewhat detached.

As it settles, white florals gain weight. Gardenia and narcissus emerge with a faint waxiness, while lily adds a greenish-white density. The effect is less bouquet than portrait: controlled, deliberate, unsmiling. A subtle black currant note threads through the base, adding a tart berry shadow that keeps the composition from turning too placid.

Where the original Rush leaned scarlet and combustible, this flanker chooses restraint. The oakmoss is restrained by modern standards, offering structure without vintage heft. It's a fragrance for someone who wants floral formality without powder or warmth—botanical rather than romantic, composed rather than exuberant.
