By the editors · 2 min readSaffron hits first — rich, slightly metallic, and dry. It establishes a Middle Eastern register from the first moment, and little in the opening softens it. The note is prominent enough to carry the fragrance before anything else surfaces.
Oud and Bulgarian rose form the heart's core: the oud here reads dark and slightly medicinal rather than sweet, while the rose provides a more recognisable floral contrast. Atlas cedar adds a dry, structural woodiness, and frankincense brings a faint balsamic smoke without overwhelming the oud.
Leather in the base ties everything into a dense, animalic foundation. This is an assertive, uncompromising oud fragrance — dark materials stacked together with minimal sweetness or softness. Evening and cold weather territory.
